Foldable game board

Low on space but still want a nice 4x6 area for your wargaming needs? Does your spouse/significant other/roommate not want a huge permanent gaming table set up in your living room? Need to play but low on cash? In this short tutorial I will show a few pictures of the set-up I recently built for playing games on in my home without taking up much space or costing much money. Read on for some pictures of my board, game mat, and terrain storage solutions.

101st Airborne platoon finished at last!

At long last, I painted the last two stands for my 101st Airborne Division paratrooper platoon. Like the command shermans I posted last week, these models have been waiting since the tournament in July to be finished. You can see some pictures of the earlier progress here and here. Over the intervening months I have tried some new techniques for painting 15mm models so the latest stands are fairly different from the earlier stands. Regardless, my first infantry platoon is now totally finished (sort of, for now). With this platoon done, I have now painted the entire Allied force from the Open Fire starter set.

Showcase: 11th Armoured Division Command Shermans

At long last I have finished painting the command Shermans for my 11th. Armoured Division tank company for Flames of War. One of the models is a plastic Sherman from the Plastic Soldier Company and the other is a Battlefront Resin tank model. The models were painted with a little bit of panel highlights using the airbrush. The washes and streaking were all done with oil paints. With these two models (and two more stands on my painting desk that are finished), my 1780 point tournament army is fully painted (I think). Sadly, the tournament I used this list in happened several months ago... The shame...

Showcase: PSC Panzer IV J platoon

Today I have a 15mm Panzer IV J platoon that I have finished painting. The models are from The Plastic Soldier Company, but have a few small conversions to turn them from Panzer IV Hs to Js. I painted these models in a late war factory applied hard-edged camouflage pattern that is similar to my silly putty tutorial and the Panther G I recently painted. I still have another platoon of these and the command for my Ardennes Panzer Lehr panzer company.
