Stone walls for Flames of War

Today, I will show you some pictures of a few small stone walls I recently built. They are sized to fully conceal infantry for Flames of War. They would also scale well as waist high walls for 28mm models. The walls are built from cardboard bases and depron foam. With this addition, I have enough terrain to cover a single Flames of War board to a medium terrain density.

11th. Armoured Division Painting Chart

Inspired by Admiral Drax’s painting charts, I decided to make a painting chart for my 11th Armoured Division. I thought that a painting chart would be a good way to track my progress towards completing my force. My painting chart here was inspired by the great painting charts over on Admiral Drax’sblog. I would definitely recommend checking them out. Continue reading for some pictures of my painting chart and some pictures of my 11th. Armoured Division Sherman Company as it currently stands.

Scratch built 15mm buildings

I recently set up my new gaming table and discovered I did not have enough line of sight blocking terrain. As a I prefer playing Flames of War with primarily tank based forces, utilizing line of sight blocking terrain is an important part of my tactics. My other limitation was that money was a bit tight for purchasing nice premade terrain like more trees and the lovely Battlefront houses. Therefore, I decided to try and build some houses and buildings to bulk out my terrain collection for Flames of War.

Showcase: Universal Carriers

These models gave me as much trouble as any other models I have painted. Don't get me wrong, the Universal Carrier models from Battlefront for Flames of War are nice little models. My issues with these models stemmed from some new techniques I tried and trying to make the models match the rest of my 11th Armoured Division company. In this post I will share some pictures of my finished platoon of Universal Carriers.
